Two U.S. Forest Service employees were kidnapped before 11 a.m. local time on Thursday while conducting fieldwork in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest and held at gunpoint inside a rural trailer outside Mount Shasta. The employees were released, and two suspects, including 49-year-old Joseph Charles Henrichsen and his adult son, were arrested. Multiple local and federal agencies responded to the incident.
