Donald Trump stated that a peace framework with Iran has been largely negotiated, offering sanctions relief and access to up to $20 billion in frozen assets in exchange for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and other steps. Iran's supreme leader and National Security Council have not yet approved the proposal, with one or two clauses still requiring clarification. Nuclear negotiations are scheduled to begin in Pakistan on 5 June.
