Amazon CEO Andy Jassy alerted senior Trump administration officials this week about security risks in Anthropic’s Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. On Friday the administration directed Anthropic to block foreign nationals from accessing the models, citing national security, prompting Anthropic to disable global access. The action took the form of an export control administered by the Commerce Department.
