Seven villagers from Xaysomboun province remain trapped in a cave in Laos after entering in search of gold and wildlife and becoming blocked by a landslide from heavy rain. Rescue teams, including experts from the 2018 Thai cave incident, have cleared rocks at the entrance while navigating passages as narrow as 50cm. A survivor who escaped earlier alerted authorities.
