A Seoul court on July 13 sentenced former President Yoon Suk Yeol to two years in prison and ordered forfeiture of 13.96 million won after convicting him of receiving 14 free opinion polls in violation of the Political Funds Act. Yoon's wife Kim Keon Hee was acquitted in a separate trial on related charges. The ruling also sentenced Myung Tae-kyun to 18 months.
