The Senate voted 47-48 on Tuesday to reject a motion to discharge a war powers resolution sponsored by Sen. Raphael Warnock from committee. Four Republicans joined most Democrats in support of the motion while Sen. John Fetterman was the only Democrat to oppose it. Senate Majority Leader John Thune separately requested the text of any U.S.-Iran agreement and a briefing from the administration.
