Senate Majority Leader John Thune stated on Tuesday that Republicans would welcome Sen. John Fetterman into their conference if he left the Democratic Party. Thune has not spoken recently with Fetterman but referenced past conversations about challenges within the Democratic caucus. Fetterman has formed a joint fundraising committee with Republican Sen. Dave McCormick and previously wrote that he would make a poor Republican.
