The NFL will discontinue the Pro Bowl Games format after the 2025 season, ending the AFC-NFC contest, flag football, and skills competitions. Beginning in 2026, 88 players selected through equal votes by fans, players, and coaches will attend an in-person event at the Super Bowl site in Los Angeles with no alternates added. The change was announced by NFL Executive Vice President Peter O'Reilly.
