Framing Analysis
Monique Barbut, France's Environment Minister and former head of WWF France and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, submitted her resignation to President Emmanuel Macron on July 21 over a bill allowing restricted reintroduction of two neonicotinoid insecticides. Macron did not accept the resignation, and Barbut stated she would remain due to the urgency of addressing climate change.
