Three Democratic representatives who defeated progressive primary challengers over their Israel positions received subcommittee assignments on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Representative Jared Moskowitz was named ranking member of the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee, replacing Representative Brad Sherman, while Representatives Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Wesley Bell also received roles. Representative Mark Pocan was assigned to the Africa Subcommittee.
